Thanks for setting up a blog for us, Peter! I am going to suggest a first book for us. How about Fahrenheit 451? I have never read it, somehow, and I think it is something we could all enjoy and it has plenty to talk about. I am also interested in reading Hunger Games. Do either of those sound good?

    Wow Peter! you were really on top of things. Fahrenheit 451 is good--I read it this summer. It is especially interesting to read when you consider that it was written 60 years ago. I am good with the hunger games too. What about the Richard Peck series with Grandma Dowdel? Those three books might be a good set.

    I would be up for Fahrenheit 451 and I could probably do Hunger Games. We could also read things like The Chosen or A Separate Peace. I'll start looking for good book ideas, but let's go with Fahrenheit 451 for now.

    How should we do this? Do we want to set a date for the beginning of the discussion? Should everyone be responsible for coming up with one or two points of discussion?

    I just read 451, after Jessie recommended it, and I think Don just finished it, so I'm very in favor of that. I thought it was really interesting and had a lot of good discussion points. Shall we set a date for when we begin discussing it?
    Also, sorry that there are two of me. I will try to get rid of one.
    Also, how do you start a new thread? I only see a place to comment. I will explore more.
